There is a funny meme I’ve seen that says, “These weapons formed against me prosperin’ a little bit.” It warrants a chuckle and unfortunately, also some agreement. Life just seems to keep whittling away at our resolve and strength to the point that we feel overwhelmed and incapable of keeping up with the heaviness.

Expectations are real and we can’t help but have them. Expectations aren’t bad or anything of which to be ashamed. However, we do need tools to effectively manage and keep them in check or they can take us down a path of constant disappointment.
